ABOUT
A double barrel mix of two blistering musical styles, Ska and Jazz, played by 8
of the sharpest shooters in Australia. It’s a tempting and infectious beat, with
an urgency that propels people onto the dance floor.
Inspired by music from the loudest island in the world – Jamaica - this classy
outfit mash-up the offbeat skank grooves of ska, rock steady and reggae, with
the wild blowing of jazz. Add in some afro-latin beats and it is impossible to
keep still.
Skazz have played to packed audiences at numerous festivals in Australia
and overseas. The Commonwealth Games, Apollo Bay Music Festival,
Federation Square, The Famous Spiegeltent, St Kilda Festival,
Queenscliff Music Festival, Noumea’s annual “Live En Aout” Music
Festival, The Australasian World Music Expo and a very
successful tour of Korea.
